Revoice Pro 5.1.30 brings the new Shaper Tool for fine pitch adjustments, plus SmartPitch and SmartAlign for matching doubles and syncing takes. The interface stays in English, and the plugin runs on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs under macOS 10.14 or later, in AU, VST3, or AAX 64-bit hosts.
Align vocals and takes
SmartAlign synchronizes tracks that have different start or end positions — useful when comping multiple takes that aren’t perfectly in time.
Correct pitch naturally
The core pitch engine adjusts time, pitch, and loudness together, so corrections on voice and monophonic instruments keep a natural feel. The Shaper Tool gives you direct control over pitch curves.
Create doubles and harmonies
SmartPitch matches the pitch of doubled or harmony parts to the lead vocal. The vocal doubler builds layered-sounding doubles without the artificial edge some plugins add.
What you'll see on your Mac
Revoice Pro 5.1.30 runs as a plugin inside your DAW or audio editor. It needs macOS 10.14 or higher, and it works on both Intel Macs and Apple Silicon models — no Rosetta quirks or extra configuration. The installer comes as a standard disk image. You mount it, run the installer, and the plugin appears in your AU, VST3, or AAX 64-bit host formats. The whole interface is in English, with no other language options.
There's no standalone app. You work entirely inside your host. The plugin window shows the waveform, pitch curve, and alignment controls. Processing happens in real time or offline depending on your workflow. The software handles one monophonic source at a time, so you process lead vocals, then doubles, then harmonies as separate passes.
Fix Revoice Pro audio drift and sync errors
Plugin doesn't show in your DAW
This usually means the host scanned the wrong folder. Check your DAW's plugin preferences and confirm the VST3, AU, or AAX folder path includes where Revoice Pro installed. On Apple Silicon Macs running Intel DAW versions via Rosetta, the AAX 64-bit version can sometimes be skipped during scanning — restart your DAW and rescan plugins.
SmartAlign doesn't sync tracks that start or end differently
SmartAlign is built for exactly this situation, but it expects the audio material you give it to be the same performance. If the two takes are wildly different (different tempo, different phrasing), align the timing first with the time adjustment controls before letting SmartAlign handle the fine sync. Also, make sure both tracks are the same sample rate and bit depth going into the plugin.
Pitch correction sounds unnatural
The Shaper Tool gives you a pitch curve you can edit manually. If automatic correction sounds stiff, try reducing the correction amount and use the Shaper Tool to draw in only the notes that need it. For voice, keep the correction window narrow — wider settings affect vibrato and natural pitch movement.
Vocal doubler adds an artificial edge
The vocal doubler in Revoice Pro is designed to avoid that plasticky sound, but it still depends on your source. If you hear artifacts, lower the mix level and blend the double with a bit of the original. Running the double through SmartPitch afterward can help the two parts lock together more naturally.
A workflow: align and double a vocal take
Say you have a lead vocal take that's mostly good, and a second take that has the right energy but drifted out of time. Here's how you'd run them through Revoice Pro.
- Insert Revoice Pro as an AU or VST3 plugin on a track in your DAW. Load the lead take as the guide part and the second take as the dub part.
- Open SmartAlign. Set the reference to the guide part. The plugin will sync the second take's timing, even if the two clips start or end at different points on the timeline. Listen back and adjust the alignment strength if needed.
- Now load that aligned take as a new dub part. Open SmartPitch to match its pitch to the guide. This step fixes any pitch drift in the double, so it sits under the lead without clashing.
- With the double aligned and pitched, use the vocal doubler to layer it. Keep the doubler's timing offset subtle — a few milliseconds is usually enough to create width without smear.
- Bounce or print the result to a new track in your DAW. From here, you can blend it with the original lead take, add reverb or compression, and mix as usual.
The whole chain — align, pitch-match, double — stays inside one plugin instance. No bouncing between separate tools. For a harmony part, you'd run the same steps but route the harmony audio into the dub slot instead of a second take.
Revoice Pro’s focused pitch-time-loudness vs Melodyne’s polyphonic editing
Compared to Celemony Melodyne, Revoice Pro is more focused. Melodyne is a full polyphonic pitch editor that can handle chords and multiple voices at once. Revoice Pro is monophonic only, but it does pitch, time, and loudness together in one pass, and it includes alignment and doubling tools that Melodyne doesn't have built-in. If you work mainly on vocals and don't need polyphonic editing, Revoice Pro covers more of the vocal chain in one plugin.
Waves Tune is simpler — it's a real-time pitch corrector for vocals, similar to Auto-Tune but with a different character. It doesn't offer alignment, doubling, or pitch-curve shaping. Revoice Pro gives you those extra stages, which means fewer plugins on your vocal chain. The trade-off is a steeper learning curve. Tune is quick to set up; Revoice Pro takes a session or two to get comfortable with the alignment and doubler workflow.
iZotope Nectar is a full vocal suite with EQ, compression, de-essing, and saturation on top of pitch correction. Nectar's pitch module is good, but it doesn't offer the same level of alignment or dedicated doubling control that Revoice Pro does. If you need everything in one box, Nectar is the broader tool.
- Shaper Tool — new pitch-adjustment tool for detailed control.
- SmartPitch — matches the pitch of doubles and harmonies.
- SmartAlign — synchronizes tracks with different start or end positions.
